LB 876 Changes Rules on Child Abandonment

The updated law allows an infant up to 90 days old to be left with an employee on duty at a licensed hospital, staffed fire station, staffed law enforcement agency or emergency care provider. The previous law allowed an infant up to 30 days old to be left at one of these facilities.
