Two Nebraska signees have been named Gatorade national players of the year in their respective states. Conor Booth won the award for the state of Nebraska, while Kade Pietrzak won the honor for North Dakota.
Booth had a dynamic season as he prepares to embark on his college career. This past season, he had 266 carries for 2956 yards and 50 touchdowns. He has 545 carries for 6,093 yards and 99 touchdowns in four years, according to recorded high school statistics from Maxpreps.
Pietrzak recorded 58 total tackles, 26 tackles for loss, and five sacks as a senior. He played both the offensive and defensive sides of the football. His junior year was productive as well. He tallied 72 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and two sacks that year.
