Area Athletes on MNAC All-Conference
The Mid-Nebraska Activities Conference has announced its 2025–2026 All-Conference Boys Basketball teams, recognizing standout performances from athletes across several conference schools. Five players were named to the First Team, representing four different programs. Maurice Robinson, a senior from Sandhills/Thedford is one of the top selections. NU Men and Women Make NCAA Tourny
The women’s Husker Basketball team celebrated hearing their name called for the third consecutive year, when the 68 bids for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship were announced during the ESPN Selection Show on Sunday evening. Nebraska earned a No. 11 seed in the tournament and will face fellow No. 11 seed Richmond in the First Four in Durham, N.C., on Wednesday, March 18. Boys Finish Great Season at 23 and 4
Chris Mosner photo The Badger boys’ basketball, team concluded a tremendous season finishing at 23 and 4 for the year. Three of the four teams the Badgers lost to are in the class C1 state tournament this week. The boys lost in overtime 57 to 56 to Freeman in the first round of the class C2 state tournament on a last second shot. Badgers off to State Basketball
The Valentine Badger Boys Basketball team were given a fire department escort as they left town for the state basketball tournament in Lincoln. The boys will face number 6 seed Freeman at 3:15 Wednesday at The Devaney Center. Birk Burge will cover all the boy's games at state. Badger Boys Headed to Lincoln
The Valentine boy's basketball team bested Hemingford Monday night in the district final game to earn a trip to the state tournament for the first time in 22 years. Valentine dominated the game, winning 99 to 57. Isaac Cronin had an unofficial 40 points and was named Farm Bureau Insurance Player of the Game.
