Equine EHV-1 Puts Hold on Events
The rodeo and horse world have been put on hold with an outbreak of EHV-1 virus in horses. KVSH News talked with Lindsey Adamson Taylor, who is originally from Cody and is currently finishing her veterinarian residency. Garden County Wins 6-man Championship
Somebody was going to win its first state championship in program history on Friday night in Kearney. When the dust settled on an exciting Six-Man season, Garden County outlasted Southwest to claim its first state championship in program history with a 41-22 victory over Southwest at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium on the UNK campus. Huskers Win Big 10 Title
The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team clinched the outright Big Ten title with a 25-19, 25-16, 25-22 win at No. 17 Indiana in front of a crowd of 2,832 at Wilkinson Hall on Saturday night. Nebraska has won 37 conference titles all-time, including six in the Big Ten (2011, 2016, 2017, 2023, 2024, 2025). Badger Winter Sports Numbers
The number of athletes out for winter sports look strong in basketball and girls wrestling but are a little slimmer in boys wrestling. According to the respective coaches there are 18 girls out for basketball including 3 seniors, 5 juniors, 4 sophomores and 6 freshmen. That information from head coach Ian Bish. Big Game Meeting Across the State
Hunters and landowners are encouraged to offer their feedback on big game information during the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s public meetings in December and January. These 2½-hour meetings are scheduled in each Game and Parks district. All in-person meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. local time. Pigskin Prediction Weekly Winners
A couple of college football games this past weekend fooled some of the participants in the KVSH football prediction contest.
