Fill An Empty Stocking 2024
The American Legion Family; Sons, Post & Unit 90 would like to offer their heartfelt
thanks to the many generous, local folk who lent their talent, time and money to
this seasonal project to benefit local children.
Coordinating volunteers, donors, deliveries, goods and services takes time and a
giving heart. Working together at this time of year brings Christmas home for those
who need it.
This project was initiated the first week of November, and concluded on Christmas
Eve. Important players included: Union Bank & Trust, Radio KVSH and Midland News &
Printing.
Six donors took two families, and fifteen others adopted families also. We are so
grateful for the kindness of these folk who spent more than $11,000.
Eighteen volunteers worked the project including Santa, who helped to deliver.
Estimated hours totaled over 138 hours.
Twenty-seven families with sixty-five children were served by this annual project
that fills the heart of both the giver and the child.

Note from KVSH Radio: Thanks to Don and Ginny Nelson for letting us be a part of this
project and for all the work they put into it.
