As far as college football powerhouses go, it's hard to argue there is a
more dominant one than North Dakota State.
The program is the FCS's most formidable institution, battle-hardened by
nine national championships in a 13-year run. For some, a three-year spell
without a title would do little to alarm a fanbase. In NDSU's case, it
represents a drought.
The Bison exorcised their recent postseason demons on Monday night,
vanquishing Montana State in the FCS national championship, 35-32, to
capture the program's 10th FCS national title.
NDSU (14-2) was led by its marquee players, namely QB Cam Miller and WR
Bryce Lance. Miller showcased his multifaceted approach to the game,
completing 19-of-22 passes for 200 yards, two touchdowns, and zero
interceptions while adding 121 yards and two scores on 18 carries en route
to earning game MVP honors.
