Cherry Hills Estates hosted the annual Christmas candy making contest on Tuesday. KVSH Radio broadcast the event live from Cherry Hills. The candy of choice this year was peanut brittle. There were seven entries in the contest where some made old family recipes and others did more than once recipe. There were entries from residents of Cherry Hills and from the public. Several members of the public joined the audience to watch the events. In the end, top honors went to Jean Stolzenberg, second place went to Marilyn Greunig and taking third place was Norm Nollette. Judges commented that all 7 entries were very tasty, but Jean’s entry scored the highest based on appearance, texture and taste.
