Valentine’s weather was warmer than average in December, with less precipitation than normal.  The National Weather Service instruments at Valentine’s Miller Field logged the warmest temperature of the month at 64 degrees on December 3rd, with the lowest temperature of the month at 2 degrees on the 20th.  Only .16” of precipitation was recorded, just over a quarter inch less than average.  Most of that precipitation fell in the form of snow.  An inch and a half total, which is 3.5” less than normal.  The region was not lacking in wind.  The windiest day was December 19 with a peak gust of 56 mph.  Snow is in the forecast for the following weekend.
