The regular meeting of the Valentine City Council was held Wednesday, June 13th. Most of the meeting dealt with a presentation by Professor Kim Wilson with the University of Nebraska Landscape Architecture Program. The presentation came from an extensive study of Valentine by her students and gave suggestions as to what would make Valentine a better place to live.
Discussion on renewing the demolition program for dilapidated structures in 2018 was held with a couple of changes, and was tabled.
A purchase agreement will be drawn up on the Cherry County Ag Society’s request to purchase some land currently leased by the Ag Society from the City. The matter remains open for further consideration.
