This training is designed to provide students with an introductory level knowledge of illegal drugs including their various categories, physical and behavioral indicators of their use as well as safety in case of exposure.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to recognize indicators that a person may be under the influence of an illegal substance. Students will become familiar with the physical appearance of illegal substances as well as the paraphernalia commonly used with different drugs. Students will also be taught proper safety and precautionary measures to take should they be exposed to illegal drugs, including the ever growing opiods which pose an enormous threat to public health.
This class is aimed to give parents, guardians, and the public at large a basic knowledge to help identify and address the use of illegal drugs. Through proper education and response, we as a community can help to combat the continued epidemic of illegal drug use.
NO PURSES, BAGS, FOOD OR BEVERAGES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM
