November is here and that means the Valentine Chamber will turn attention to the holidays. Holiday Preview is scheduled for Sunday, November 24th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. They will once again have the ever popular Holiday Punch Card contest. Shoppers can pick up their cards at participating businesses starting that day. They will have all week to get to each location on the card. The drawing will be on Saturday, November 30th for the chance to win $500 in Chamber Bucks. A new twist this year, they will do the drawing right before the Parade of Lights and if the winner is present they will win an extra $100. Santa and his elves will be at Viaero from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Call Dean Jacobs at 402-376-5138.
Santa, his elves and his reindeer are scheduled to be at the parking area next to Security First Bank on Saturday, December 14th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to listen to all the kid’s wish lists.
Christmas shopping hours are always up to individual merchants, however the Chamber has some recommended shopping hours for the season. Sundays December 8th, 15th and the 22nd. The Chamber recommends evening hours from December 16th to the 23rd. Christmas Eve varies for most businesses.
