Valentine Police Department Week in Review: September 1-7, 2019
On 9/2/19 at 9:22 am, Officers responded to the 600 block of west highway 20 for a young juvenile male with no adult supervision. Following an investigation, a 39 year old man and 24 year old woman, both from York, NE were cited for Child Neglect.
On 9/2/19 at 8:23 pm, an Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 2nd and Ray Streets. During the contact, the officer found that a male passenger had a felony warrant out of South Dakota and 1 misdemeanor warrant out of Nebraska. The 37 year old South Dakota man was arrested.
On 9/3/19 at 2:00pm, Officers were requested to investigate a felony level fraudulent loan application and theft. The information regarding this case has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for his review.
On 9/4/19 at 1:22 pm, officers were requested to respond to the 200 block of south Cherry Street in regards to a domestic assault involving a subject who had been drug by a vehicle. EMS was requested to respond. The suspect has been identified but left the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 9/6/19 at 1:27pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Vivian Street and Highway 20. Following an investigation a 54 year old South Dakota man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and a 42 year old South Dakota woman was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
On 9/7/19 at 8:21pm, officers responded to a non-injury accident at McDonald’s. Following an investigation, a 54 year old South Dakota man was arrested on multiple charges including suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and an active arrest warrant.
