Valentine Police Department Week in Review: August 11-17, 2019

On 8/12/19 at 3:36 pm, Officers responded to an injury accident near the intersections of 8th and Main Streets.  A juvenile male was later cited for driver’s license violations.

On 8/12/19 at 5:35 pm, Officers received a report of a stolen vehicle in the 600 block of North Main Street.  The victim reported that sometime between 8/8/19 and 8/12/19 someone had stolen their 2000 Chevy Impala with Nebraska license plate 66-C148 from their home.  As of this report, the vehicle is still missing.

On 8/14/19 at 2:04 pm, an Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersections of 5th and Hall Streets.  A 62 year old Valentine woman was cited for a vehicle registration violation.

On 8/14/19 at 2:36 pm, Officers were requested to respond to the City Park in regards to a disturbance.  Officers were able to handle the matter with no enforcement action.  15 minutes later, officers were requested to respond back to the City Park to handle a disturbance involving the same subjects.  A 55 year old South Dakota man was arrested for Disturbing the Peace.

On 8/14/19 at 5:30 pm an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of south Government Street.  A 19 year old South Dakota woman was cited for a driver’s license violation. 

On 8/15/19 at 9:00 pm, an officer was requested to the Dollar General Store in regards to a delayed shoplifting report.  The case is pending suspect identification.

Officers handled 155 calls for service this week.
