The Nebraska American Legion Baseball Class C Area 7 Senior Tournament ended with a bang on Monday night, July 22nd, as Post 90 Seniors advanced to the state tournament in Syracuse, defeating Bridgeport 9-5. On Friday night, the #1 seed Albion advanced over the #4 seed Bridgeport 10-0, and in the second game of the evening, #2 seed Valentine blew out #3 seed Plainview 17-0.
Saturday’s games brought more excitement as Bridgeport upset Plainview 9-0, and in a down to the wire finish, Cameron Jordan had the clutch walk off hit for the win 3-2 over Albion. Bridgeport then surprised Albion in Sunday’s game, winning 7-5. Jaydon Owen was instrumental Monday’s win over Bridgeport, pitching for almost the entire game. All of the players did an excellent job, along with the great coaching staff. Congratulations!
