On March 4th, 2019, Valentine Police Department were called to a residence for the reported homicide of Pamela Nickisch. They arrested husband Paul D. Nickisch, Jr. of Valentine, and according to public records in a complaint filed March 8th, 2019, Nickisch, Jr. faces 3 felony charges: Murder in the First Degree, a Class I Felony, Use of a Firearm to commit a felony, a Class IC Felony, and Intentionally Committing Child Abuse with no injury, a Class 3A felony, as their juvenile grandson was also present. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for Cherry County Court on April 22, 2019.
