Cherry County Attorney Eric Scott has announced that in Cherry County District Court Friday, February 15, 2019, the following matters were heard:
Issac Brave, age 38 of Valentine, NE appeared and was convicted of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a Class IIA Felony. Isaac Brave will be sentenced in Cherry County District Court on Friday, April 19, 2019.
Alvin Covey, Jr., age 35 of Valentine, NE, appeared and was convicted of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, a Class II Felony, and Possession of Stolen Firearms, a Class IIA Felony. Covey was the subject of a January 11, 2019 search warrant served on Cherry Street in Valentine. Covey Jr, will be sentenced in Cherry County District Court on Friday, April 19, 2019.
Additionally, Tyler Mills, age 29 of Valentine, appeared and was sentenced to 3 years in the Nebraska State Penitentiary for Attempted Distribution of Methamphetamine.
