According to Cherry County Zoning Administrator Jessica Coyle, the Cherry County Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 has been cancelled due to a lack of quorum. The main item of business was to vote on a proposed amendment filed by citizen Wayne Eatinger, in reference to Amendment of Zoning Regulations in Section 613 to change current regulations to read in Section 613.01 that Cherry County prohibits commercial/industrial wind energy conversion systems and in Section 613.02 under Tower height that No wind energy system shall exceed 80 feet.
