Mid-Plains Community College is taking its community input sessions on the road, and the next stop will be Valentine. The public is invited to attend the session from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the MPCC Valentine Campus, 715 East Highway 20.

The purpose of the community input session is to gather ideas that MPCC can use to develop a 2019-22 Strategic Plan. Mid-Plains has set a goal of becoming the first choice in the region – for education, partnerships, employers and employees.

To do that, MPCC needs to know what is important to its service area. The college is asking the public to share suggestions for future programming as well as opportunities to work hand-in-hand with schools, businesses and other organizations.

“We know that partnerships and collaboration are key to the vibrancy of our rural economy,” said Tad Pfeifer, the college’s area director of Institutional Effectiveness. “MPCC can play an integral role in tying together the individuals and organizations that are seeking to make their lives and their communities better through opportunities for higher education, community and economic development. We are hoping to see new faces and hear new ideas at these meetings in our communities.”
