Valentine Volunteer Fire Department was called to an electrical fire at the Kahlblinger residence at 321 Hall Street at approximately 4:30 am on Saturday morning, June 9th, 2018. Fire cause was believed to be related to a lightning strike in the area, which affected the southwest corner of the house, according to Fire Chief Terry Engles. A small spot was burned, but the 2nd floor did sustain some water damage. Crews were on scene for approximately 45 minutes.
