The Valentine Police Department along with the Cherry County Sheriff’s Office and Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service were requested to respond to the 600 block of North Macomb Street Friday evening May 18, 2018. Responders found a male subject that had been assaulted and had sustained life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and the Nebraska State Patrol has been contacted to assist. Police Chief Dana Miller has informed KVSH Radio that there is no suspected danger to the general public.
