The Valentine Police Department was kept busy this past weekend with numerous calls requiring police involvement.  Friday, 4/20/18, the Valentine Police Department received a call of suspicious activity at a home.  Officers found that the residence had been burglarized while the owner was out of town.  The following day, following a tip from a concerned citizen, Officers with the Valentine Police Department, Cherry County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol executed a search warrant at a home in the 500 block of North Macomb Street.  Officers recovered several of the stolen items.  A male was arrested for the burglary and possession of stolen items. The investigation continues.

On 4/21/18, Officers were requested to respond to the Speedee Mart in regards to an attempted arson.  Unknown suspects threw a molotov cocktail under a vehicle.  No damage was caused to the vehicle.  The investigation continues.
