Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin today, March 28 on N-12, five miles north of Springview, for nine miles, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Werner Construction, LLC, of Hastings, Nebraska has the $3,523,366 project. Bridge work is scheduled to be completed by July, followed with milling, asphalt paving, flume, guardrail and rumble strip work. There will be lane restrictions, with an 11-foot width restriction and reduced speed. Traffic will be maintained by temporary traffic signals at the bridge. The project is anticipated to be completed by November.
The Department’s project manager is Michael Rudnick of Ainsworth. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously through construction zones and should expect delays.
