March 25th through March 31st is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Nebraska. Cherry County Emergency Management Director Gary Weaver notified KVSH Radio that the warning siren will not sound in Valentine on Wednesday, March 28th. Sirens will be tested on the 28th in Wood Lake, Cody, and Springview. The siren in Valentine will be tested on Friday, April 6th at 10 am. After that date, Mr. Weaver stated that the Valentine siren will sound the first Friday of each month through October for testing purposes.
