The Rosebud Sioux Tribe announced on social media that Black Pipe and Corn Creek residents were being advised of a Boil Water Notice in effect until Saturday 6/21/25 due to some potential contamination at the N Parm water storage tank. Our team has already drained the tank and will be shock chlorinating the tank to disinfect. This Boil Water Notice will lifted as soon as the department gets the bacteria results back from the contract lab. No bacteria were detected prior to this notice. So if you are in the Black Pipe or Corn Creek communities, you will need to bring all water to a boil for no less than 3 minutes, then let it cool before drinking it, or use bottled water. This is for anyone who needs water for drinking, making ice, brushing your teeth, washing your dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Any questions please call the office at 605-747-2378.
