Friends of Tim O’Keefe put together a medical expense benefit baked potato bar on Wednesday evening at the Methodist Church in Valentine. Although the total amount raised was not released, reports to KVSH news state that it was very successful with over 240 baked potatoes served, and good bids on a big selection of silent auction items. Tim’s wife, Lila stated that she was very thankful for the big turnout, saying that she hopes that she and Tim can be “half the friend to all the friends that they have” in this community.
Tim was severely injured on Easter Sunday when a fall down the stairs severed the muscles in his upper legs from the bone. There will be several months of procedures and physical training as well as specialized care as Tim recuperates.
