Valentine police officer Jasmine Hoefs announced on social media over the
weekend that she intends to leave the Valentine Police Department at the
end of this month. Jasmine has been with the department over 10 years and
battled back from a severe injury while serving the community a couple
years ago. In here statement, Jasmine stated that she felt she was being
called in a different direction.
There are currently 2 new officers at the training academy but will not be
ready for solo service until later this summer. Those two brought
the department up to a full 6 officers for the first time in years.
