During the week of June 8th to June 14th, the following arrests were made by the
Valentine Police Department:
Information received on June 9th lead to the arrest of a 43 year old Nebraska man on
charges of Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a
Prohibited Person. These charges are related to a burglary that was included in
last week's police report. Following the arrest a search warrant was served in the
200 block of North Western Street, where additional items taken in burglary were
recovered. The investigation is on-going, and additional charges may still be
filed.
On June 14th, at approximately 1:50 AM, an assault was reported in the 100 block of
North Main Street. A 24 year old Nebraska woman was arrested on the charge of
Assault in the Third Degree.
In total, the police department responded to 48 calls for service during the week,
including:

4 welfare checks
2 assaults
1 burglary
1 injury accident
1 non-injury accident
