The Sandhills Area Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 scholarship awards. This year, the Foundation awarded over $45,000 in scholarships to outstanding students from Cherry County, continuing its longstanding commitment to supporting local education and opportunity. Students awarded scholarships for the 2025-2025 academic year are: CapRock Scholarship $2,000 Katherine Cox, Aubree Johnson, Jessa Klabenes, Lauren Schoonveld SAF College Scholarship $1,500 Jadyn Andersen, Taylor Battershaw, Lindsey Boes, Lauren Ferguson, Hayes Hammond, Aubree Johnson, Jessa Klabenes, Connor Kreutner, Alexis Long, Lee Major, Logan Muirhead, Lauren Schoonveld, Grant Springer, Grace Wolff SAF High School Scholarship $1,000 Jenalee Garwood-In honor of Brian Keech Jocelyn Jordan-In honor of Shirley Sibert Katherine Cox, Allison Heath, and Ayden Naslund-In honor of Paul Bass Olivia Beel, Courtney Billings, Brady Haake, Emma Kreutner, Doc Lancaster, Cinch Miller, Quinton Nelson, Cadence Swanson, Marybelle Ward SAF Non-Traditional Scholarship $2,500 Anna Perrett Cherry County Hospital & Clinic Scholarship $1,000 Emma Kreutner “We congratulate all of this year’s scholarship recipients and wish all area graduates the very best in their future endeavors,” said Foundation President Kim Marlatt. A new initiative, the round-up program at Scotty’s Ranchland Foods, enabled the foundation to award 8 additional scholarships this year over last year’s number. The Foundation wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Scott and Tammy Millard and Samantha Hand at Scotty’s for partnering with them in this program. The public is invited to the reception for the scholarship winners Wednesday, June 11 at 7 pm at MPCC.
