State Senator tanya Storer announced that four of her bills were passed last week in the Unicameral. LB383, her priority Parental Rights in Social Media Act, passed 46-3-0, requiring parental consent and oversight tools on social media. LB385 updates the Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act to include broadband providers for consumer protection. LB667 amends the Motor Vehicle Industry Regulation Act to ensure fair compensation for dealers performing warranty and recall services. Lastly, LB664, the Venue Freedom bill, allows businesses in disputes with state agencies to litigate in their local courts, reducing expenses and fostering a business-friendly environment.
