Members of the Cherry County Ag Society having been working to improve the rodeo facilities at the fairgrounds in Valentine for the upcoming Nebraska State High School Rodeo Finals June 12 through the 14th. In the stiff winds and light rain last Friday, members were working on a new configuration for the roping chutes. Over the weekend they worked on construction of a new fenced off area behind the rodeo stock pens. There will also be an area designated for the cutting arena at the fairgrounds. Between the Valentine High School Rodeo on the 25th, and the state finals, they plan to install the water line for camper hook ups.
