The Valentine Police Department reminds residents that sidewalks need to be shoveled within 24 hours of the cessation of the storm. They have seen a lot of kiddos choosing to walk in the streets rather than try and trudge through the snow. VPD will be out and about checking sidewalks in the next couple of days so if you get a red card, it is not an early Valentine’s Day card. The city streets department will also be out and about shoveling secondary streets today. Please move vehicles from the street so the plows can clear the roadways effectively.
