On Friday afternoon at about 1:50pm Central Time, the Kilgore and Cody Fire Departments were both requested to assist with a fire on East Anderson Bridge Road. The fire was apparently burning in some canyon land south of Kilgore. Upon arrival to the scene of the blaze, firemen from Kilgore turned the Cody trucks around and were able to get the fire under control in a short time.
