Here’s an update on area road work from the Nebraska Department of Transportation.  Weather permitting, work will begin March 26 on U.S. Highway 183, north and south of Springview, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Knife River Midwest, of Sioux City, Iowa, is the contractor for this project. Work includes sidewalkrepair, curb repair, bridge deck repair, guardrail replacement, asphalt overlay, grading, culvert pipes,flumes and curb, and seeding. Traffic will be maintained with lane restrictions, a pilot car and flaggers, and temporary traffic signals. During bridge deck repairs there will be a 14-foot lane restriction from mile marker 215 to 215. Anticipated completion is Sept. 2025. Also, Weather permitting, work will resume March 25 on

N-12, east of Burton, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Traffic for the bridge work will be maintained with a lane closure controlled by a traffic signal.

Anticipated completion is June 2025.

 

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
