Cherry County has approved a new noxious weed superintendent. Commissioners selected Patrick Hooper of Merriman to fill the vacancy. According to Cherry County Commissioner Martin DeNaeyer, the position was offered to Hooper Tuesday evening. The previous weeds superintendent, Dave Leonard held the position for about 2 and a half years until his recent passing.
