The regular meeting of the Valentine City Council was held on Thursday evening, January 11th. The council approved Monty Krueger as Vets’ Club manager. The third reading for the annexation proposal of the new golf course are was held but not passed. The proposal will be resubmitted excluding some privately owned land. A resolution authorizing the city county president to sign and submit approval of preliminary plans for the Cowboy Trail connection project was approved. The council approved intent to apply for planning grant from Community and Civic Center financing fund for a feasibility study for city gym improvements. The council will soon be requesting bids for a new HVAC at City Hall. The meeting concluded with no action on parking changes at Fourth and Main Streets.
