Emergency crews from Valentine Volunteer Fire Department, Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service, and Valentine Police Department as well as city utility crews were called out to the report of a kitchen fire at about 11:30 Saturday Night.
The fire at 310 Victoria Street was apparently electrical in nature and was actually limited to the attic space above the kitchen, causing moderate damage. No injuries were reported in the blaze, but fire crews did spend about 2 hours on scene.
The fire was investigated by the Nebraska Fire Marshall’s Office.
