The 3rd/4th grade, boys basketball team outscored their opponents 109 to 25
on Saturday, January 25th, winning the championship in the Hoops in the
Hills Tournament in Mullen. There were six teams from across the Sandhills
in their division.
The young team entered the day undefeated, at 4-0, and extended their
winning streak with four additional victories.
Defeating Cody-Kilgore 23-4, Mullen 24-4, Hyannis 26-2 and
Sandhills-Thedford 36-13
Spencer Beebout lead the team with 26 points and 17 steals, while Kade
Arganbright followed closely with 20 points and 13 steals.
After the championship game ended, a game of Knockout began. The objective
of the game Knockout is to make free throws in order to survive, while at
the same time, eliminating the other players. Sixty plus boys lined up for
their turn to shoot. Fourth grader Evan Moosman was the winner.
Team members include: Cameron Wackler, Evan Moosman, Trey Benson, Orion
Markley, Kade Arganbright, Lincoln Bargin, Duke Daugherty, Spencer Beebout

The team’s next tournament will be in Stuart, NE, on February 22.
