The College Football Playoff national championship game will feature the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Ohio State Buckeyes competing for the title at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Jan. 20.

The rise of standout leader and quarterback Riley Leonard has been a beacon of inspiration for Notre Dame’s journey to the championship game. Leonard’s exceptional performance, both in the regular season and postseason, has not only positioned the Fighting Irish to compete for their 12th national title and first since 1988 but also instilled a sense of confidence in the team, with Leonard leading the charge.

Ohio State eliminated Texas from championship contention by defeating the Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl. Senior defensive end Jack Sawyer had an outstanding performance and made a significant impact in the victory. He forced a fumble from Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and returned it for an 83-yard touchdown, securing Ohio State’s place in the title game.
