Cinch Miller, a senior at Valentine High School was honored by the Huskerland Prep magazine with The 'Diamond in the Rough Award'
at Friday nights Badger Basketball game.
This recognition is given to a high school football player in Nebraska who shows great potential despite not receiving a lot of
attention of hype, essentially considered a "diamond in the rough" with room to grow into a top player at the collegiate level,
particularly for the University of
Nebraska. Cinch and his family were recognized on Friday night. His mom reported that since he was little, he has loved football.
As a small child he would take notes on the Packers games to help out the coaches. In high school football, Cinch played
several positions but excelled as a hard-hitting linebacker for the Badgers. He was also capable of some hard running at
a running back position in past years. Congratulations to Cinch Miller.
