The 2nd Annual Great Salsa Showdown was held this morning at Tehrani Motors in Valentine. There were 20 different entries in this years event which was judged in a blind taste test by a panel of three judges. Third place with her “Midnight Special salsa” Pat Schemmer will received $20 from KVSH radio and some Polaris gifts from Tehrani Motors. Second place goes to Magen Baldwin who will get $30 from KVSH and the Polaris items from Tehrani Motors. Taking first place was Noah Barber who will get 50$ from KVSH Radio and $50 from Tehrani Motors along with the Polaris items. Some of those items will include a cooler, hoodie sweatshirts and other items. One judge commented about an entry “I may not be a good salsa, but I am a handsome salsa”. Kelly Russell described his entry by saying “It slaps you, then it says sorry”.
A fun time was had by all and Tehrani Motors went all out to host the event with decorations and providing a complete nacho bar for the public.
Winner can pick up checks from KVSH Radio on Thursday and prizes from Tehrani Motors can be picked up there.
