A KVSH radio listener told us about an interesting story here in Valentine regarding a local resident donating a couple residential properties to a global non-profit.  KVSH News approached Dr. Frank Patterson to get the story.  Dr. Patterson stated that he feels strongly in service to his fellow man, and when property values and taxes on some of his rental properties went up earlier this year, he turned his frustration into a catalyst to make good on his philosophy.  Patterson had been working on other projects with a non-profit organization called “End Poverty Now” which does a lot of work in Liberia.  He says that it is hoped that the money raised by the sale of these properties would help the organization to fund the opening of a dental office which could provide services to the people of that impoverished nation.

Patterson has already closed on two of those properties with another in the works.  End Poverty Now is now hoping to sell those houses to help fund their mission.  They are located at 127 S. Cherry Street, 222 W. 2nd Street and another property listed on Donaher Street.
