Two new houses are getting ready for the Valentine market thanks to a Nebraska Affordable Housing Grant to Valentine Economic Development and The City of Valentine. The grant was applied for about 4 years ago and was supposed to build three homes. Due to the increase in construction costs, they were only able to build two homes at this time and a third will come after these sell. After the third one is sold the city will have a housing fund available to them to continue building new housing units.
The houses are located at 115 and 117 North Edna Street in the Southwest part of Valentine and are 1,348 square feet on main floor. They are set on a unfinished basement and include a single stall garage. There is down payment assistance available on these homes with estimated purchase price of $273,000. These homes are both 3 bedroom and two bath on main floor.
