The Sandhills Area Foundation (SAF) is pleased to announce the award of a $25,000 grant from Union Bank and Trust on behalf of the Heart City Theater group. This generous funding will support the theater initiatives in partnership with the Heart City Theater group.

The Sandhills Area Foundation, serving as the pass-through entity for tax-deductible contributions, applied for the grant in collaboration with Heart City Theater group. This strategic partnership highlights the strong community ties and shared commitment to enriching the cultural landscape of the Sandhills area.

“We are thrilled to receive this grant on behalf of the Heart City Theater Group from Union Bank and Trust,” said Kim Marlatt, President of SAF. “This funding highlights support for the revival of the Valentine movie theater and will also help create new opportunities for creative expression in our community.”

The grant will be used to assist with the renovation of the existing building and purchase of the fixtures and equipment necessary to run a movie theater.

Danielle Arganbright, President of the Heart City Theater group, expressed gratitude for the support: “This grant will have a significant impact on our ability to bring back a theater to the community as well as bring quality theatrical experiences and live performances to our area. We’re grateful for the partnership with SAF and the generosity of Union Bank and Trust.”
