Cherry Hills Estates and Modern Woodmen of America has announced their hometown hero for 2024. Al Walkling was given the honor at the annual Cherry Hills Football Supper and Pep Rally on September 5th. Al was recognized as having been a teacher for 35 years in the Valentine School system as well as his time as a coach for Valentine. Al was given the choice of where his $100 award should be donated. He chose the Sandhills Area Foundation Scholarship Fund as it’s beneficiary.
