The Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service is expecting a new ambulance in its fleet in October.  According to CCHA president Duane Lamb, Cherry County Hospital started the process of getting a new ambulance a couple years ago thanks in part to a DHHS grant helping to offset the purchase price.  The new ambulance Is a 2024 Ford F-450 4-wheel drive with a Type-3 ambulance box manufactured by Arrow Manufacturing replacing a 1999 Ford E-Series Super Duty 4-wheel drive ambulance.  Lamb states that this new ambulance will be the largest ever in use by the Cherry County Ambulance Service.  After the arrival of the new unit, there will be a short period of time when the new unit will be stocked to be prepared for emergencies.

KVSH will update our listeners when the new ambulance arrives.
