Area artist Dave Dorsey was recently featured in the Nebrsaka Life magazine. In the July/August issue, Dorsey was recognized for his painting “The Empty Nest”, which is an acrylic that features his great-niece Jessa. According to Lisa Truesdale, this piece received the Nebraska Life Art Award at the June Association of Nebraska Art Club’s 2024 conference. Dave has many of his pieces on his website daviddorseyart.weebly.com as well as his Facebook page. You can see many of Dorsey’s works in person. They’re on display at Janine’s Flower Exchange and Humdingers in Valentine.
