Incidents/Arrests:
On 09/01/2024 at 7:59 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near Main and B Streets. A 31 year old Valentine woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. A 29 year old South Dakota woman was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana less than one ounce.
On 09/02/2024 at 10:04 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 4th and Cherry Streets. A 22 year old South Dakota man was cited for not having a valid vehicle registration.
On 09/02/2024 at 10:19 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 4th and Wood Streets. A 36 year old Valentine man was cited for possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
On 09/03/2024 at 12:55 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of east highway 20. A 23 year old woman and a 19 year old man, both from South Dakota, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and a firearms violation.
On 09/03/2024 at 3:54 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of north Main Street. The department’s narcotic detection K9 Baker was deployed. A 20 year old Valentine man was arrested for driving while revoked and possession of a controlled substance.
On 09/05/2024 at 12:09 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 3rd and Cherry Streets. A 45 year old South Dakota woman was arrested on an active Cherry County warrant. In addition, she was cited for no operator’s permit, no vehicle registration, no proof of insurance and a stop sign violation.
On 09/05/2024 at 11:26 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near Hall and B Streets. A 20 year old South Dakota man was cited for possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
On 09/07/2024 at 4:00 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of east highway 20 for a disturbance. A 43 year old South Dakota man was arrested for 2nd degree criminal trespass.

On 09/01/2024 at 12:52 am, a disturbance occurred in the 300 block of east highway 20. On 09/01/2024 at 1:14 pm, a non-injury accident occurred in the 100 block of west highway 20.
On 09/02/2024 at 8:48 pm, a complaint of harassment was received from the 200 block of east 4th Street.
On 09/03/2024 at 10:53 am, a complaint was received from the 500 block of north Macomb Street regarding improper disposal of waste.
On 09/03/2024 at 4:43 pm, a non-injury accident occurred in the 300 block of north Main Street.
On 09/04/2024 at 4:46 pm, a welfare check on an animal was requested in the 1000 block of east highway 20.
On 09/06/2024 at 9:16 am, a welfare check was requested in the 400 block of north Wood Street.
On 09/06/2024 at 10:07 am, a welfare check was requested in the 200 block of north Wood Street.
On 09/06/2023 at 4:19 pm, a non-injury accident occurred in the 700 block of west highway 20.
On 09/06/2024 at 11:10 pm, a barking dog complaint was received from the 600 block of north Hall Street.
On 09/07/2024 at 2:33 pm, a welfare check was requested in the 100 block of south Wood Street.
