If you picked the local sentimental favorites in the KVSH Pigskin Prediction contest, you get kudo’s for selecting your hometown teams, but it put you out of the money in the weekly contest. Despite some upsets to local teams like, Valentine, Cody Kilgore and Mullen, there were several people who missed only one on this week’s card. Nebraska’s total of 507 yards in offense determined Dustin Wheeler of Wood Lake the winner with 511 yards on his card. Second place goes to Nila Gierau of Springview with a guess of 489 on the yardage. Others missing only one game this week were Al Walkling, Vance Walkling, Monty Neiffer and Mike Halley. Missing three to five games on this week’s card was very common.
This week’s card may get delayed at some sponsors due to the Labor Day holiday, so pick up your card starting Tuesday at Tooth and Whisker Outdoors, Nelsen Furniture, Broken Spoke Boutique, Hometown Lumber, Young’s Western Wear and Security First Bank. Make you turn them in at the KVSH Studios by noon on Friday.
