Entries are now open for the annual Sandhills Catfish Classic fishing tournament Sponsored by Whisker Getter Outdoors. This years event will be on September 13th and 14th at Merritt Reservoir near Valentine. $4,000 guaranteed pay out to First place. Last year they paid out over $16,000 in total prize money. Rules meeting will be held on September 13th at 6PM at the Peppermill in Valentine. Fishing will be from 7AM until 5PM at Merritt. Entry fee is $125 per team with a maximum of 50 teams.
