Here is the latest update on construction on Nebraska Highway 12 East of Valentine at the Minnechaduza bridge. Preparations continue for the road closure of the bridge over the Creek 3 miles East of Valentine. The road closure will occur between September 3, 2024 - May 23, 2025.

Work to relocate an overhead power line at the bridge location has been completed. Other utility conflicts are being addressed and expected to be complete before work
starts.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured utilizing highway US-83 North of Valentine, then unpaved county roads Whitetail Road, Nolett Road, and 906th Road before returning to highway N-12 near mile marker (MM) 7.
A 12' width restriction has been placed on the unpaved county roads (Detour) to begin September 3rd.
