There have been a handful of injury accidents in the last month in the area. Yesterday, emergency personnel from Valentine Volunteer Fire Department, Valentine Police Department, Cherry County Sheriff’s Office, and Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service all responded to the report of a minivan that had been struck by a semi truck in front of Conoco. An eyewitness to the accident reported to KVSH News that the van was leaving the Conoco driveway onto Highway 20 when it was struck by the large truck. According to radio traffic, one patient was transported by ambulance to the Cherry County Hospital with unknown injuries. Fire crews were released after a short time on scene. However, law enforcement was on scene investigating the accident and providing traffic control for about an hour before leaving the scene.
